Music at Beth El Temple in West Hartford is under the guidance of The Beth El Music & Arts Committee (BEMA). The BEMA committee helps conceive and produce musical performances of all genres, while supporting the commemoration of Jewish celebrations and prayer services.

 

BEMA Kids’ Choir

Love to sing? Come make music with us! Children in grades 4-7 learn different forms of Jewish music, practice each Sunday during the educational year, and participate in BEMA concerts and Shabbat and High Holiday services.

Children of all Beth El members – including those who attend Solomon Schechter or Hebrew Academy – are invited to participate. To maintain the highest degree of professionalism, attendance at rehearsals – and (where appropriate) attendance at SULAM Beth El prior to rehearsals – is expected.
